Today, I am going to dedicate one whole
post to these amazing women and give all of my fantastic readers a peak into
their world and some of the discoveries and creations. ENJOY!!!
We begin with Rustic Spoonful……
First up:
This piece is so pretty and is a great addition to the outside patio area or even inside the house in a kitchen or a work room. It is made from reclaimed wood, the glass is a vintage glass bottle that the girls found and the hooks are created from vintage spoons.
Next, I want to share....
This pair is so cute. I adore the colors and I think they are fantastically well preserved. They are made from clay and were created in the 1920's.
Third...
This amazing piece is so beautiful. The way the stone shimmers and catches the light is breath-taking. Someday, someway I will get my hands on one of these beauties. This particular necklace was created using silver findings, a silver snake chain and for added decoration some crystals beads.
Fourth on our Rustic Spoonful list......
This pendant is also remarkable. It is an etched piece of copper hung around a simple black cord.
Fifth on our list is....
These beautiful hearts are nothing fancy but the fact that they are wire makes them great for all kinds of things. My ideas would be for wreaths, cards, valentine decorations or any other craft project your little heart (pun intended!) desires.
Last, but certainly not least, on the Rustic Spoonful list is.....
This cute little find is for the furry member of your family. I mean even they deserve to be blinged out. So, I give you the Rustic Spoonful dog collar. It is made with a silver chain and hot pink crystal bead for added decoration.
Now that I have given you a sneak peak into the Rustic Spoonful shop let's turn our attention to High Desert Rust. This store focuses mostly on the salvaging of vintage items that need some tender loving care.
First up for High Desert Rust is.....
This particular collection consists of rusty nuts, bolts, wing nuts and lock plates. Any of these pieces would be great for artists who like to create sculptures.
Second.....
This collection is particularly cool to me because all of these things remind me of spending time with my Papa Nowlin in his garage helping him with his cars. I was his little grease monkey and we always had tons of fun together, until he tried to sneak me in the house covered in dirt and Barbara would catch us.
Third on this list.....
Bottle caps are super cool. The ones on now day bottles are not quite as fun as the old school ones but they can still be fun. But this particular collection includes salvaged caps, lids and wires. All of these are great for people who love to sculpt.
Fourth on my High Desert Rust list is....
This collection is made up of salvaged faucet handles. These coolio's could be cleaned up and used on a vintage appliance or some sort of unique DIY project.
Fifth on the list is....
These are some rusted metal discs that Sharon and Georgia have discovered on one of their salvaging trips. I'm not completely sure what you would use them for, but they are really cool.
Now we have reached the end and our post is going to end with....
I think I definitely saved the best salvage for the last. This antique electrical equipment is amazing and allows us to see where our communication technology has come from. This particular piece came from the 1970's but still allows us to see how far we have come.
Georgia Hendricks and Sharon Glanville are both amazing women and they have two very amazing Etsy shops. Please stop by and check them both out and see what other incredible pieces they have to offer.
Thanks!!!
Hi! Love this! They have cool things. I'm sure will love seeing this. bye bye
