Scrapbooking Memories

Past-times can consist of just about anything a person can imagine. Some people read, others enjoy the outdoors, and some decide to create. Me personally, I tend to be creative!

Scrapbooking is a fun way for someone to collect memories and pictures in one place with cute decorations. Materials you need to create a scrapbook include:
  • Card stock -- plain or something with designs
  • Adhesives -- these are used for pictures and any other items that need to be attached to the card stock / paper.
  • Pens
  • Scissors and/or Trimmers
  • Embellishments -- stickers, buttons, tags, flowers, etc.
  • Ribbons -- these can be used to create boarders around pictures and pages
  • Albums -- used to store your completed scrapbooking pages
  • Page protectors -- clear covers for your scrapbook pages, used inside the album

The best part, at least for me, about scrapbooking is that there is no right or wrong way to do it. It is only limited by your imagination. You choose the album, these pictures and the decorations. You can use anything you want, that carries some kind of a memory for you.

One of my scrapbooks has everything from pictures of Jaime and I’s first Thanksgiving together to movie tickets from our date nights. While these may seem trivial to some people, they signify important moments of our time together.

However, scrapbooks can also be used as a timeline. For example, my brother is the lead singer of a local band here in Las Vegas/Henderson, Nevada. They began their adventures back in 2007 and have been going strong ever since.

So, I recently created a scrapbook to collect everything they have done from 2007 to present. It includes pictures of the band, concerts they have participated in, movie scores they have created, cd’s they have released, and so much more. It is really very cool and I hope he loves it.

Anyway, scrapbooking is totally fun and a fantastic way to keep all of your memories in one easy place. Each book you create will be different from the one before it but the whole point is, it’s yours and no one can change that.

Give it a try, see for yourself how fun it can be. SEE YA LATER!!!
