Book Review ~~ "Killing Ruby Rose" by Jessie Humphries

A while back my awesome little brother, Jackson Wilcox, told the family and I about this book project one of his friends was working on.

It was her first book ever and she asked him to write a song for her first book release.
The book is called "Killing Ruby Rose" and the Author is Jessie Humphries

As someone who has always been an avid reader I am always excited to hear about or come across and new author and a new title.

"Killing Ruby Rose" was introduced to me by my brother who is acquaintances with Jessie Humphries and he told me that it is her first novel. It was picked up by Amazon and she was totally excited to be getting published.

So, in support of new talent and the discovery of a new book, I purchased "Killing Ruby Rose".

The book follows the young heroine Ruby Rose through some major trials that she must face. Her father was a SWAT agent and was killed in action and her mother is the District Attorney.

Ruby is not alone in her battle though, she has help from her hottie boyfriend Liam and her best friend Alana. But none the less, she must face dangerous criminals and bogus criminal charges.

This book is fun because it puts a new twist on the normal high schooler story. I found it to be a very easy read and the story has a great flow. Right from the get go Ruby's story is well described and as soon as the first issue arises you know how Ruby will handle it.

At the same time, you can also feel all of the anger and anguish that she deals with as she handles the loss of her father and the distance from her mom. On the bright side though, the hottest guy in the school wants to be Ruby's boyfriend and will pull out all the stops to make that happen.

All in all the book is great and I would highly suggest it for someone who is looking for something new. I also learned recently that Jessie has published the second book of the series. This on is called "Resisting Ruby Rose" and it was released by Amazon on October 28, 2014.

So my suggestion is... Get your butts to either Amazon or you nearest book store and pick up this series. You are sure to like it. Catch Ya Later!!!
