Jaime's DIY Greeting Cards ~~ Part I

Written by Aubrie B. as told by Jaime B.

Greeting cards….. What can be said about them? Hmm, most of the time I think they are a joke and kill way too many trees, that is where my amazing husband Jaime comes in. He has this amazing talent to make personalized cards for people birthdays, holidays or just anytime that would call for a greeting card.

To make a great card Jaime has broken it down into about 10 different steps. In this post we will talk about the first 6. He decided to break it up because he was having a bit of a creative block and did not want to rush the process.

So, let’s get this party started……..

  • Step 2: Choose the envelope.
          Jaime uses Avery 378 Envelopes
  • Step 3:  Fold the paper in half and compare it to the envelope to make sure in will fit properly
  • Step 4:  Grab the magazines and/or materials you want to use
Jaime chose to use old Game Informer magazines.
  • Step 5:  Find pictures that you might want to use and remove the page from the magazine
  • Step 6:  Now cut the actual picture you’re going to use carefully from the page.

This is where we end our post for now. Hopefully Part II will be coming soon (I will get on the Husbands case). To be continued…
